Emo! (for Art Jumble)

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

Hello Everyone! Today I have a new Art Jumble drawing for you. This week’s topic is “Emo girls” – a super fun topic actually they are fun to draw! Lots of peeps on Art Jumble seem to be happy about it too as there’s quite a few submissions this week. I had a rough sketch for this but it wasn’t what I used as the base – haven’t had time to get to the scanner at work lately. So I drew this entirely on the computer instead. It’s turned out pretty good I think! Emo always makes me think of bright, punky hair. And I know I didn’t add any accessories etc but thats not really my thing. Hmm. Took me about an hour and a half. While drinking a beer. Hehe. Anyways, this was quick… I need to start pushing my limits a bit. Have a couple more drawings planned so I should get onto those next week. Bye bye for now! :-D Emo!

zombie kitty is proud

We all know how kitties love to leave a little gift in the middle of the doormat.
;-)

Sorry about the poor quality pic…Quick drawing done in the diary and uploaded via iPhone…No scanner or Painter here with me in Tasmania.

Oh and don’t mind the “gym due” hahaha

Art Jumble!

Sunday, May 10th, 2009

Just a quick one to let you all know I’ve joined Art Jumble! Some really incredible work on there I can’t wait to start posting some stuff.

Oh and on the letterpress front – a few hurdles to get over before I can start printing…namely, I’m MISSING PARTS!!!!!! ARGH!!
And the rollers need to be replaced.
Aside from that it’s all good.Trip to Hobart tomorrow to see if we can find some more info about the parts I need.

More detailed post and press photos to come later this week :-D

Welllllll…..I can’t really leave you with nothing to look at! This painting was of the subject of my 16 year old obsessions: The Legend of Zelda – Ocarina of Time.
Just sat down and painted it one day…with no planning or anything. It turned out life-size! It’s getting a bit old and chipped now, and the paint is fading…but it’s still one of my favourite paintings to date!

….and yes, that is painted directly on to the wall *blush*
