Meet Fergus – Mum and Dad’s stud Highland bull.
Well this is my rendition of him. Notice how feminine he looks! If you were to see his big loooong lashes in real life you would agree
Fergus is a very placid bull – he must be over 3 years old now and he’s only just starting to fill out. Highlands take quite a while to reach their full size. He is so tame that Mum can brush his tail and he doesn’t mind a bit.
If you want to see some more pics of him, head over to my Mum’s blog —> St Imre Vineyard. There you can also see the rest of Fergus’ brood.

This took about 2 hours to do. Spread out over two days as there was much to do at home.
This weekend I shall be picking up my bike! I got a very nice tax return so I can afford to take it off layby. Unfortunately the weather looks rather miserable so I’m not sure I’ll be doing a lot of riding. Melbourne has been copping some pretty crazy weather lately. You think we’d all be used to it, but I don’t think you can ever get used to such utter randomness.
Well then, bye bye folks! Off for the week. I might be able to nip in a post on the weekend if you’re lucky

Hi!
Finally I am no longer an apprentice! Thought I better tell you all that. Pretty proud of myself. I’m finally qualified and stuff. Though it will be a little while yet before I get my actual piece of paper.
Anyway – The last couple of days have been pretty busy. I’ve been flat chat at work and when I come home I’ve been playing my DS (my latest review on Cult-of-Pop is Here) – got a bunch of new games which are all so fun I don’t know which to play first. Is anyone else as DS obsessed as I am?
So that is why I have been off the web for a few days – Haven’t even been reading my blogs! *gasp*
Today’s drawing I am much more happy with than the last one. I drew the sketch for this the same time I did the sketch for the last one. It used to have her entire figure in it but I liked the face more so I cropped it down into a portrait. Also tried some new techniques – this time instead of using my usual pastels only, I tried charcoal and coloured pencil. Not natural media of course, but the Corel Painter simulation of these
I think these work really nicely together don’t you? The charcoal is soft and textured and the pencil is good for detailing. Will definitely be using them in future drawings

It’s almost the weekend! Yay! I think we shall be going to see Public Enemies, the new Johnny Depp flick this weekend. Can’t wait to see it – Mr Depp is possibly my favourite actor. I’m also a major fan of Robert Downey Jnr and his latest movie, Holmes should be out soonish…So many great films coming out! Eeeep! (can you tell I’m a movie buff?).
PS…I’ve switched my comment system to Disqus – If it’s giving you any grief please email me to let me know.
